JW Marriot marathon at Hacienda Pinilla
The first edition of the JW Marriott Marathon took place on Saturday, July 27th, at Hacienda Pinilla. Over 300 runners participated in this edition, and the event was a great success. Participants were very pleased with the organization, the route, water stations, and the overall experience of the event. Runners could choose to run 11, 21, 31, or 42 kilometers. The main highlight for the athletes was the ability to run in a place surrounded by trees, with the tranquility of a safe environment free of traffic. The winners of the event:
42 kilometers- Jonathan Varela took the first place with a time of 2:41:27, while the first place woman, Carolina Rojas, finished the distance with a time of 3:53:52.
31 kilometers – the winners were Martin Cubero (2:04:08) and Catalina Miranda (2:22:02)
21 kilometers – Jordan Camejo (1:13:02) and Gabriela Herra (1:32:33) won this distance
11 kilometers – Olman Estrada (39:55) and María González (52:17) took the first place
Both the organization and the runners are looking forward to the second edition in 2020!
