HACIENDA PINILLA INSTALLS CAMERAS TO OBSERVE WILD ANIMALS

Hacienda Pinilla, in conjunction with the Guanacaste Wild Life Monitoring Foundation, has installed seven (7) special cameras to capture videos of animals in their natural habitat. The program aims to understand the populations of different species better and to guide efforts to support conservation. In the first months of the project, it has been possible to capture very interesting images of birds, reptiles,  and other wild mammals. The species observed include numerous birds, monkeys, jaguarundis, and even manigordos. Coyotes and deer abound, too. The images will be used for scientific studies and dissemination and education campaigns. The protection of nature and its sensitive habitats aligns with Hacienda Pinilla’s vision of environmental sustainability present in all the projects and operations of the company. We invite our community and neighbors to contribute to this program by protecting the fauna and flora of the area.
